3.2 Camera and Peripheral Installation and ConnectionHDK-55 1206 VER1 (U) 41INSTALLATION and CONNECTION3Mounting and Removing the LensMounting the LensThis section explains how to mount the lens to the camera.Be sure to place the camera on a tripod or on a flat, level, stable surface when you mount the lens. The lens can be mounted to theHDK-55 either by BTA mounting method.1 Before proceeding any further, remove the lens cap by pushing up the lens lock lever.Push down the lens lock leverto secure the lens to the camera.Align the notches and insert the lensinto the camera lens mount.2 Align the pin of the lens with the notch of thecamera lens mount, and horizontally insert thelens into the camera lens mount.Support the lens with your hand to prevent it fromfalling.3 Secure the lens to the camera.Push down the lens lock lever to secure the lens to thecamera. Make sure there is no play.Secure the pigtail cablewith the cable clamps.Connect the pigtail cable.4 Connect the pigtail cable to the lens connector.Align the pins on the pigtail cable with the lensconnector and push until it is locked.5 Secure the pigtail cable with the cable clamps toremove any slack.CAUTION:Do not hold the lens housing to support the entirecamera. An excessive force applied to the mount willcause damage.
