This means that you may enjoythe latest music using discs createdin your computer through the highquality audio components in yourhome theater system. As the way thatMP3 files are recorded on discsdiffers from the way conventional CDaudio discs are structured, MP3playback is somewhat different fromstandard CDs.Important Note on MP3 PlaybackMP3 discs may contain 200 tracks oreven more. For the best overview ofall the titles on the disc and forconvenient track selection, use theon-screen-display rather than thefront panel display. The front paneldisplay will only show the numberand elapsed time of the track beingplayed.MP3 Disc PlaybackAfter an MP3 disc was entered andthe tray closed, the JBL DSC100DVDwill read the table of content (TOC)and then show the total number oftitles on the disc and "STOP" on thefront panel display. At the same time,a listing of all the directories appearon the screen (if the disc containsseveral directories), see figure 1below. With discs without directories,a listing of up to 12 tracks on the discwill appear on the screen as shownin fig. 2 below, showing the names (IDtags) of all tracks currently listed.Figure 1.Figure 2.To select a track, press theD/E/ / arrow buttons until thedesired track name is highlighted(possible in stop mode only). Youmust scroll through the list to seeadditional titles. If you know thenumber of the title you wish to play,you can select the title directly byentering its number with the numericbuttons on the remote (possible inplay mode, too). With discs withseveral directories, first select theappropriate directory and then enterthe corresponding title list bypressing ENTER (in stop mode only).To start the track selected on the listpress ENTER, in Stop mode you alsocan press PLAY.During MP3 playback, some of thestandard CD/DVD playback controlsoperate in their normal fashion:• You may skip forward to the nexttrack on the disc by pressing the button.• You may skip back to the previoustrack on the disc by pressing the button.• Press the PAUSE button tomomentarily stop playback.
