-9-1. PowerThis button, located only onthe remote control, allows theuser to manually turn on or offthe ESC333. Please note thatthe ESC333 features AutomaticTurn-On/Off, and the powerswitch is not normally usedunless it is necessary to over-ride this automatic feature, orin case the analog input to beused is not the last one thatwas used and so AutomaticTurn-On is not available forthat input. Please read thedetails regarding AutomaticTurn-On/Off on page 3 of thismanual, and keep in mind thatif the ESC333 is shut downusing this power button, itsautomatic turn-on feature willremain disabled for five min-utes after the source connectedto the ESC333 is also shutdown. This is to prevent theESC333 from repeatedly turn-ing itself back on against theuser’s wishes. The ESC333 canalso be powered on by usingthe Input button (4) on thefront panel of the subwooferor on the remote control.Please note that if inputselection is done by pressingthe Input button, theAutomatic Digital InputSelection of the ESC333 willbe disabled until the ESC333shuts down.When the ESC333 is pluggedinto a working electricaloutlet and its master switchon the back panel is set toOn/Standby, the Standby (32)indicator will illuminate. TheON (31) indicator will light assoon as the ESC333 is turnedon either automatically or viathe pressing of the Power orInput buttons.2. MuteFrom either the front panelor the remote control, press(Mute) to lower the volumecompletely. The mute symbolindicator (33) will illuminate.When you press either of themute buttons again, the vol-ume will return to its previoussetting.Note: The mute function canalso be turned off by pressingeither of the volume buttonson the front panel or theremote control.3. Late NightThis feature is available forDolby Digital only.
