Loudspeaker fidelity depends on thefollowing three factors:• Loudspeaker accuracy• Loudspeaker placement• Listening room acousticsAdvanced JBL design features allow theP81 and P941 to achieve exceptionalacoustical precision. However, properplacement and listening room acousticshave a significant impact on the per-formance of the P81 and P941.CAUTION:• The P81 and P941 should be installedby a professional.• Installers must adhere to local build-ing codes to ensure a proper installa-tion. JBL is not responsible for anypossible damages caused by improperinstallation.LOUDSPEAKER PLACEMENTThe P81 and P941 are designed to offerexcellent performance in any listeningroom or home theater system. Abide bythe following placement suggestionsfor optimal results.2-Channel or Front Left and Front Rightin a Home Theater SystemThe bulleted items that begin belowindicate important loudspeaker place-ment considerations for 2-channel orfront left and right installations.• The speakers should be equidistantfrom the primary listening positionand placed at least 4 feet away fromthe side walls.• It is recommended that the angleformed between the speakers and thelistening area be between 45° and 60.°For example, if the speakers are 8feet apart, the listening positionshould be 8 to 12 feet from eachspeaker.
