However, if youare unsure of your ability toproperly install these loud-speakers, please contact yourdealer or a qualified installer.INSTALLATIONThe wires for both speakersshould be the same length. Ifone speaker is placed closer tothe amplifier than the other,hide the excess wire behind thewall. Speakers and electronicsterminals have corresponding(+) and (–) terminals. Itis important to connect bothspeakers identically: (+) on thespeaker to (+) on the amplifierand (–) on the speaker to (–) onthe amplifier. Wiring “out ofphase” results in thin sound,weak bass and a poor stereoimage. With the advent of multi-channel surround soundsystems, connecting all of thespeakers in your system withthe correct polarity remainsequally important in order topreserve the proper ambienceand directionality of theprogram material.To use the push-type speakerterminals, press the red (+) orblack (–) cap for the desiredterminal, insert the bare end ofthe speaker wire into the holebelow the cap and release thecap. Gently tug on the wire tomake sure that it is fullyinserted.SPEAKER CONNECTIONS† For model SP6CS, the terminals forboth the left and right channels willbe on the same loudspeaker.ENGLISH
