Filtering is accomplishedwhen jets pump #1 turns on in low speed initiating water flow throughthe skimmer basket and polyester mesh filter cartridge. As this happens,suspended particles become trapped on the filter’s surface.To Clean Filter:1. Turn off power to the spa at the home’s breaker panel or select the L1“Lock Out” mode (page 29) to disable all spa functions.2. Remove the filter strainer lid assembly.3. Remove the filter cartridge by rotating it counterclockwise to unthread itfrom the filter wall fitting, then lift it straight up to remove from filter well.4. Using a garden hose with a high-pressure nozzle, rinse debris fromthe filter pleats beginning at the top and working your way downward.Continue, one section at a time, until you have rinsed all of the filter’spleats.32
