28J-30011.0 Automatic Filtration CyclesA. For Models J335 to J375Your new spa includes an 8-hour circulation pump which filters the water. The circulation pump draws water through the skimmer bag and one oftwo filter cartridges to effectively remove small debris in your spa.Note: The 8-hour circulation pump system also supplies heated water tothe spa when the heater turns on. To set a time for the circulation pumpcycle, simply turn power on to the spa two minutes prior to the desiredtime. The control system activates a programmable filtration/heating cycle toremove larger debris missed by the 8-hour circulation pump filtrationsystem. These cycles utilize pump #1 low speed and the second filtercartridge to quickly “skim” the water of large debris and minimize their“bath-tub ring” effect. Apart from their skimming benefit, each mode alsoeffects the operation of your spa’s heater. Refer to Sections 11.1 and11.2 below for additional information.B. For Models J315 and J325Your new spa includes a 24-hour circulation pump which filters the watercontinuously. The circulation pump draws water through the skimmer bagand one of two filter cartridges to effectively remove small debris in yourspa.Note: The 24-hour circulation pump system also supplies heated waterto the spa when the heater turns on.The control system activates a programmable “Standard” or “Economy”filtration/heating cycle to remove larger debris missed by the 24-hourcirculation pump filtration system. These cycles utilize pump #1 lowspeed and the second filter cartridge to quickly “skim” the water of largedebris and minimize their “bath-tub ring” effect. Apart from their skimmingbenefit, each mode also effects the operation of your spa’s heater. Referto Sections 11.1 and 11.2 below for additional information.11.1 Standard Filtration/Heating Modes (F0-F3)Customers in cold climates typically select standard filtration/heatingmodes where heat up times are extended due to lower ambienttemperatures. In these modes, the set temperature regulates thewater temperature 24 hours a day. The heater will activate as neededthroughout the day. After the programmed set temperature is reached, the heater turns off.11.2 Economy Filtration/Heating Modes (F4-F6)Customers in warm climates typically select economy filtration/heatingmodes where heat up times are minimized due to higher ambienttemperatures. In these modes, the set temperature regulates the watertemperature only during a programmed filtration/heating cycle. Theheater will turn on only when there is a heat call during a programmedfiltration/heating cycle.
