Page 3412.2 SanitizingTo destroy bacteria and organic compounds in the spa water, a sanitizermust be used regularly. Chlorine and bromine are the two most popularsanitizers used to date. Many other additives are available for your spa. Some are necessary to compensate for out-of-balance water, some aidin cosmetic water treatment and others simply alter the feel or smell ofthe water. Your authorized Jacuzzi dealer can advise you on the use ofthese additives.CAUTION: Do not use chlorine tablets (trichlor) in your spa. This chemical can have an extremely corrosive effect on cer-tain materials in the spa. Damage caused by use of this chemi-cal, or improper use of any chemicals, is not covered under thespa’s warranty.12.3 Optional CD Ozone Water Maintenance SystemIf you have elected to have your spa equipped with the optional JacuzziCD ozone water purification system you will find that your water staysfresh and clear with significantly less chemical sanitizer usage. You willalso probably be able to go longer between complete spa drainings. TheCD ozone unit operates in conjunction with the circulation pump.13.0 Error Conditions / Error Messages13.1 Summer LogicWhen the actual spa water temperature reaches up to 2°F(°C) above the set temperature, the spa goes into “summerlogic” causing the circulation pump and heater to turn offautomatically. This will avoid the addition of heated water tothe spa, which would eventually create an overheat condi-tion. This setting is not user-programmable.Note: The summer logic does not take effect until the spa water tem-perature reaches 95°F (35°C). This condition is more likely in exces-sively hot weather. Remember, the spa’s ability to cool is directly affect-ed by the ambient temperature. An excessively hot ambient tempera-ture may prevent the spa from cooling down because it’s fully insulatedconstruction is designed to retain heat and to minimize operating costs.
