47To help prevent a “Summer Mode” condition, it may be neces-sary to reduce the skimming/heating cycle in warm weather.Preset skimming/heating cyclesIn "Economy" mode the spa has four pre-programmed 30-minute filtering/heating cycles, beginning at 6:00 a.m., noon,6:00 p.m., and midnight. You can change the start time and the duration of each cyclebased on your needs by following the instruction in the chapteron changing the filtering/heating cycles.N.B.: when you select "Standard" mode and the filter-ing/circulation pump is set to the default duration of 24 hours,these cycles are not available. When in a Summer Logic con-dition is active, the filter/circulation pump will turn on for allprogrammed filter cycles.Clean-up cycleThe clean-up cycle is once per day in both Standard and E-conomy mode at 12:00 PM for two minutes. This is not userprogrammable. Pump 2 activates for one minute to circulate the water in thepipes. After 1 minute it goes off, and pump 1 turns on and runsfor 1 minute, after which it goes off.Programming InstructionsAdjusting time of dayThe control system memorizes the time of day even in theevent of a prolonged power outage. However, it may occa-sionally be necessary to reset the time of day. To accomplish this, press DISPLAY, MODE and DISPLAYwithin five seconds each: a number representing the hour will bedisplayed, followed by AM or PM. The hour will increase or decrease each time ( + ) or ( - ) ispressed within five seconds. Then, press DISPLAY again to display the minutes. Adjustthe minutes as necessary by pressing (+) or (-).After 5 seconds, the display will return to normal.Changing skimming/heating cyclesThe control system allows you to easily adjust two separate as-pects of each of the skimming/heatng cycle:1) the time of day at which each cycle begins2) the duration of each cycle. To make adjustments, first press CYCLE to enter the program-ming mode: the following items iwll be dispalyed in the upper rightcorner of the display:* : the number shown depends on which filtering cycle is pro-grammed.This means the system is ready to accept your changes to thestart time for skimming/heating cycle number one. Simultane-ously, the display displays the currently programmed start timefor that cycle. At this point, you have four options:Press ( + ) or ( - ) to adjust the start time in increments of 30minutes.Press CYCLE to display and adjust each subsequent skim-ming/heating cycle start time; with each press, the currentlyprogrammed status will be shown in the display. To adjust anydisplay value, press ( + ) or ( - ).Press SELECT to move down the menu from Start Time to Du-ration; with each press, the currently programmed duration willbe shown in the display.Press ( + ) or ( - ) to adjust duration in increments of 15 minutes.Press “DISPLAY” to memorize the settings. The main displayreturn to showing the water temperature.If no sensor is pressed within 30 seconds, the screen will au-tomatically return to the normal water temperature display. At any time, you may check the programming of any aspectof any skimming/heating cycle by first pressing CYCLE thenmoving through the menu by pressing either CYCLE or SELECT.The programming is changed only by pressing ( + ) or ( - ) dur-ing this process.Programming the reminder forfilter changeYour new spa is equipped with a programmable “Change Fil-ter” reminder that appears on the control panel display after aspecified number of days. It is designed to remind you to cleanand/or replace your filter cartridge(s) on a regular basis butdoes not affect spa operation in any way.N.B.: this reminder must be reset at each filter cleaning interval.
