26INSTALLATIONCAUTION The operations described in this manual must only beperformed by qualified specialist personnel.Arrangement for installationRefer to the pre-installation sheet provided with the product for thearrangement of the plumbing and electrical connections and/or tocheck their execution.XCheck that the following have been provided:- a system for filling the hot tub- connections to the drain well- installation of a water softener (upstream from the hot tub) ifthe water is very hard-connection of the electrical box installed on the spa-pak withthe electrical system of the building. The main disconnectingswitch is to be placed in a safe location that is accessible to users.Also refer to the chapter on connections and electrical safety.XFor outdoor installations, it is advisable to drain the ducts ofthe electrical cables, to prevent possible water accumulation.XIf the hot tub is installed indoors, remember that waterevaporation from the hot tub can cause very high levels of hu-midity, especially if temperatures are very high, even if the ther-mal cover is used. Natural or forced ventilation helps to maintainpersonal comfort and reduce damage to the building.Jacuzzi Europe shall not be held liable for any damage caused byexcessive humidity. If installation is made indoors, it is advisable to provide adrain system under the support area of the hot tub which isconnected to the main drain. Considering the large amount ofwater in the hot tub, this precaution is advisable should therebe accidental water leakage.Instructions for installationPLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGH-LY BEFORE INSTALLATIONGeneral warningsThe hot tub is carefully packed in wood crates that ensureprotection during transport. Jacuzzi Europe S.p.A. shall not beheld liable for damage incurred during transport or intermedi-ate storage. As soon as you receive the hot tub, it is thereforeimportant to check that the packaging is in perfect conditionand if not, immediately notify the forwarding agent.X(1) Remove the hot tub from the packaging and from thepanels, if present (2-2a-2b).XCarefully inspect the hot tub before proceeding with instal-lation, checking the correct position of the couplings, pipes andclamps (check that they are not loose).XWhen choosing the installation site, any obstacles to move-ment (doors, stairs, etc.) should be taken into account.X( 1) For all transport operations use only the pallet onwhich the hot tub can be placed, while during installation sup-port it by using only straps of adequate capacity, that can be in-serted into the runners and brackets at the bottom of the hottub; after final installation, these brackets can be removed andkept for any future handling.If it is not possible to use straps, the hot tub can be moved byholding it by the corner supports.NOTE: this type of movement must be performed with extremecare and the customer or its representative must assume fullresponsibility for it.Jacuzzi Europe S.p.A. accepts no liability for damages causedby said operation or any other inappropriate handling proce-dures.XIn any case, for all transport and handling, support the hottub only with the belts or by the edge and NEVER by the plumb-ing pipes. Always wear protective gloves.Positioning of the hot tubSet the hot tub on a base that can sustain the load (refer to thepre-installation instructions). Prolonged sun exposure could damage the materialof which is made the hot tub shell, due to its capacityto absorb heat (dark colours in particular). Don’t leavethe hot tub to sun exposure without adequate protec-tion when not in use (cover thermal, gazebo, etc.).Any damage arising by not following these warningsare not covered by the guarantee.Plumbing connectionsRefer to the pre-installation card for the following connections:- drainNOTE: it is possible to reduce the time required to drain the hot tub byconnection the drain pipe as shown in the pre-installation diagram.- overflow (where present)NOTE: this connection is obligatory for indoors installation.XConnect to the water mains to fill the hot tub (as per standardEN 1717).XInstall the locking system of the cover (4).
