2. Unscrew the hex-shaped regulator cap from the regulatorand remove the regulator pin.AB3=A. Regulator pinB. Regulator capFlip the regulator pin over and snap pin firmly into place.A4.A. LP gas positionB. Natural gas positionScrew the hex-shaped regulator cap securely back intoplace. Do not overtighten.To Convert Surface Burners1. If installed, remove the burner grates.2. Remove the burner caps.3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the burner base.4. Apply masking tape to the end of a %2" (7.0 mm) nut driver tohelp hold the LP gas orifice spud in the nut driver whilechanging it. Press nut driver down onto the LP gas orificespud and remove by turning it counterclockwise and liftingout. Set the LP gas orifice spud aside.A. LP gas onfice spudUse the following chart for correct Natural gas orifice spud foreach burner. Refer to the model/serial rating plate behind thecontrol panel for proper sizing of Natural orifice spuds for eachburner location.Natural Gas Orifice Spud ChartBurner Rating Color Number5,000 BTU Clear 11ON9,200 BTU Clear 150N12,000 BTU Clear 170N16,000 BTU Clear 195N5. Replace the LP gas orifice spud with correct Natural gasorifice spud. See the "Natural Gas Orifice Spud Chart."6. Replace burner base and hand tighten the screws.7. Replace burner cap.8. Repeat steps 1 through 7 for the remaining burners.9. Place LP gas orifice spuds in plastic parts bag for future useand keep with literature package.10. Replace burner grates.11. Complete installation. See "Make Gas Connection" andElectronic Ignition System" sections.Checking for proper cooktop burner flame is very important.The small inner cone should have a very distinct blue flame1¼.to 1/2" long. The outer cone is not as distinct as the innercone.
