4Read and understand the entireinstruction manual beforeattempting assembly or operation.Keep this operating instructionclose by the machine, protectedfrom dirt and humidity, and pass itover to the new owner if you partwith the tool.No changes to the machine may bemade.Daily inspect the function andexistence of the safety appliancesbefore you start the machine.Do not attempt operation in thiscase, protect the machine byunplugging the mains cord.Remove all loose clothing andconfine long hair.Before operating the machine,remove tie, rings, watches, otherjewellery, and roll up sleeves abovethe elbows.Wear safety shoes; never wearleisure shoes or sandals.Always wear the approved workingoutfit- safety goggles- ear protection- dust protectionDo not wear gloves while operatingthis machine.For the safe handling of sawbladeswear work gloves.Use suitable table extensions andsupporting aids for difficult tohandle or long work pieces.Observe the chapter “saveoperation” in this manual.Check the correct rotation of thesawblade before operating themachine.Do not start cutting operation untilsawblade is at full speed.Do not use side pressure to stoprotating blade.Always hold and guide the workpieces safely during machining.Pay particular attention toinstructions on reducing the risk ofkickback.The supplied raving knife mustalways be used. Adjust the spacebetween raving knife and sawbladeteeth to be 2 to 5mm.Do not perform operations for whichthe tool has not been designed for,e.g. do not use this table saw to cutlogs or firewood.Insure that the work piece does notroll when cutting round pieces.Use suitable table extensions andsupporting aids for difficult tohandle work pieces.Do not perform any operationfreehand.Never reach around or over the sawblade.Always use the mitre gauge forcutting off.When ripping narrow work pieces(smaller than 120mm) use as push-stick or push-wood.Push stick or push wood must staywith the machine when tool isstored and not in use.Make sure that small cut off workpieces will not be caught andthrown away by the rising sawblade teeth.Remove cut and jammed workpieces only when motor is turned offand the machine is at a completestandstill.The use of dado-blades and groovecutters is not permissible.Install the machine so that there issufficient space for safe operationand work piece handling.Keep the inside of the cabinet clearof sawdust and wood chips. Makesure the motor fan and fan coverare kept clear of sawdust.Keep work area well lighted.The machine is designed to operatein closed rooms and must beplaced stable on firm and levelledground.Make sure that the power cord doesnot impede work and cause peopleto trip.Never use the power cord to carrythe tool.Do not expose the power cord toheat, oil or any sharp corners.Do not pull the cord to unplug.If the tool is used outdoor, makesure that the extension cord is ratedfor outdoor use.Keep the floor around the machineclean and free of scrap material, oiland grease.Stay alert!Give your work undivided attention.Use common sense.Pull the mains plug if the tool is notin use.Pull the mains plug prior to anymaintenance or a change ofaccessory (e.g. sawblade).Before starting the machine makesure that operating and measuringtools are removed from themachine.Keep an ergonomic body position.Maintain a balanced stance at alltimes.Do not operate the machine whenyou are tired.Do not operate the machine underthe influence of drugs, alcohol orany medication. Be aware thatmedication can change yourbehaviour.Keep children and visitors a safedistance from the work area.Never reach into the machine whileit is operating or running down.Never leave a running machineunattended.Before you leave the workplaceswitch off the machine.Do not operate the electric tool nearinflammable liquids or gases.Observe the fire fighting and firealert options, for example the fireextinguisher operation and place.Do not use the machine in a dumpenvironment and do not expose it torain.Wood dust is explosive and canalso represent a risk to health.Dust form some tropical woods inparticular, and from hardwoods likebeach and oak, is classified as acarcinogenic substance.Always use a suitable dustextraction deviceBefore machining, remove any nailsand other foreign bodies from thework piece.Specifications regarding themaximum or minimum size of thework piece must be observed.Do not force the power tool. It willdo a better and safer job and giveyou much better service if it is usedat the rate for which it wasdesigned.Do not remove chips and workpiece parts until the machine is at acomplete standstill.Never operate with the guards notin place – serious risk of injury!Do not stand on the machine. |
