The red buttonon the main switch stops themachine.6. Machine operationCorrect working position:In front of the machine standing outof the line of cutting (danger zone).Work piece handling:Hands placed flat on the work pieceoutside the cutting area.Feed the work piece towards thesaw blade in the direction of thesaw line. Push the work piecesteadily forward; complete the cutas a single movement.Support long and wide work pieceswith helping roller stands.Operating hints:Always observe the safetyinstructions and adhere to thecurrent regulations.Ensure that the saw bladeprotective cover is in the correctposition before you start sawing. The cutting blade must first reachthe maximum rpm before cuttingmay begin.Attention:The condition of the blade shouldbe checked before each machiningprocess.Work only with a sharp and flawlesssawblade.Never use a sawblade rated with ablade speed lower than themachine.Use a suitable wedge to preventround timber from turning under thepressure of the cutUse suitable table extensions andsupporting aids for difficult tohandle work pieces.Always hold and guide the workpieces safely during machining.Do not perform any operationfreehand.Do not perform any grooving, tenoning or splitting operations onthis machine. When ripping narrow work pieces(width less than 120mm) use apush-stick (Fig 2) or push-wood.Fig 2Make sure that small cut off workpieces will not be caught andthrown away by the rising sawblade teeth.Remove cut and jammed workpieces only when motor is turned offand the machine is at a completestandstill.Pay particular attention on reducingthe risk of kickback. The supplied raving knife and sawblade protective cover must alwaysbe used.Inspect for correct adjustments. For the authorized use of themachine observe the appendix A“safe operation“(on the last pages of thisoperating manual)A.1.: RippingA.2.: Ripping of narrow stockA.3.: Crosscutting on rip fenceA.4.: Bevel cuttingA.5.: Mitre cuttingA.6.: Ripping of big board7. Setup and adjustmentsGeneral note:Setup and adjustment work mayonly be carried out after themachine is protected againstaccidental starting by pulling themains plug.7.1 Changing sawbladeThe sawblade has to meet thetechnical specification.Use only sawblades according toEN 847-1Check sawblade for flaws (cracks, broken teeth, bending) beforeinstallation. Do not use faultysawblades. The sawblade teeth must point incutting direction (down)Always wear suitable gloves whenhandling sawblades.WARNING:When installing or changing sawblade, always disconnect saw frompower source, unplug!Remove the saw guard (A) and thetable insert (N).Remove the 2screws (T), slide thecover (U) up and open it.Using the wrenches provided (O; P,Fig 3), loosen the arbor nut(R) whilestopping the flange(S) againstrotation.
