Always clean your handsafter having worked with batteries. Insert battery in battery mount. Fasten the battery. Connect pole terminal (red cable) topositive pole (+). Connect pole terminal to negative pole (-).NoteBefore removing the battery, make surethat the negative pole lead is disconnected.Check that the battery pole and pole termi-nals are adequately protected with polegrease. DangerRisk of injury! Comply with safety regula-tions on the handling of batteries. Observethe directions provided by the manufacturerof the charger. Disconnect battery. Connect positive terminal cable fromthe charger to the positive pole connec-tion on the battery. Connect negative terminal cable fromthe charger to the negative pole con-nection on the battery. Plug in mains connector and switch oncharger. Charge battery using lowest possiblelevel of charging current. WarningRegularly check the fluid level in acid-filledbatteries. Unscrew all cell caps. Where fluid level is too low, top up cells tothe mark provided with distilled water. Charge battery. Screw in cell caps. WarningRisk of injury on account of unsuitable ac-cessories. Only use accessories approvedfor the working pressure of the appliance(see "Specifications").Only install accessories when the appli-ance is switched off.The maximum torque for the screw connec-tions of the high pressure hose is 20 Nm. Connect high pressure hose and spraypipe to the hand spray gun. Mount the power nozzle on the spraypipe. Tighten covering nut firmly. Connect the high pressure hose to thehigh pressure connection point of themachine. WarningObserve regulations of water supplier.According to the applicable regula-tions, the appliance must never beused on the drinking water supplywithout a system separator. Use asuitable system separator manufactured byKÄRCHER; or, as an alternative, a systemseparator as per EN 12729 Type BA.
