5.6 Linearization(only models EMS 300-3, EMS 3000-2)Linearity shows the greatest deviation of a weight display on the scale to the value ofthe respective test weight according to plus and minus over the entire weighingrange. If linearity deviation is discovered during a monitoring of test resources, you canimprove this by means of linearization.• Carrying out linearization is restricted to specialist staff possessingwell acquainted with the workings of weighing scales.• The test weights to be used must be adapted to the weighing scale’sspecifications; see chapter 3.4 “Testing instruments control”.• Observe stable environmental conditions. Stabilisation requires acertain warm-up time.• After successful linearization you will have to carry out calibration;see chapter 3.4 “Testing instruments control”Tab. 1: Adjustment pointsAdjustmentweight EMS 300-3 EMS 3000-21. 50 g 500 g2. 100 g 1000 g3. 150 g 1500 g4. 200 g 2000 g5. 300 g 3000 gOperation DisplayHow to carry out linearization: Switch on balance Press repeatedly until UNIT isdisplayedEMS-BA-e-1514 11
