Instructions for use EXPERTtorque E680 - 1.006.4700EXPERTtorque Mini E677 - 1.006.01005 Operation | 5.1 Attaching the medical device12 / 265 OperationNoteAt the beginning of each workday, the water-conducting systems should berinsed for at least 2 minutes (without transmission handpieces being at-tached) and if there is a risk of contamination from reflux or back suction, thesystem may also need to be rinsed for 20-30 seconds after each patient.5.1 Attaching the medical deviceWARNINGDetachment of the medical device during treatment.A medical device that is not properly locked can detach from the coupling dur-ing treatment.▶ Before each use, pull on the medical device to make sure that it is securelylocked onto the coupling.NOTICEInaccurate coupling can destroy the high-pressure lamp or the LED of the cou-pling or reduce its service life.▶ Make sure that the high-speed air handpiece is accurately coupled andfirmly seated on the coupling.▶ Accurately attach the medical device to the coupling and push is to the rearuntil the coupling audibly locks in the medical device.▶ Pull on the medical device to make sure that it is securely affixed to thecoupling.5.2 Removing the medical device▶ Firmly grasp the coupling and pull the medical device off while twistingslightly.5.3 Inserting the bur or diamondNoteOnly use carbide burs or diamonds that comply with ISO 1797-1 type 3, aremade of steel or hard metal and meet the following criteria:- Shaft diameter: 1.59 to 1.60 mm- Overall length: EXPERTtorque: max. 25 mm- Overall length: EXPERTtorque Mini: max. 19 mm- Shaft clamping length: EXPERTtorque: min. 11 mm- Shaft clamping length: EXPERTtorque Mini: min. 9 mm- Blade diameter: max. 2 mmWARNINGUse recommended dental burs or diamonds only.Risk of injury.▶ Comply with the instructions for use and the intended use of the bur.
