8CONNECTION AND SETUPThe following section is intended specifically for specialist dealers. You need not refer to this section unlessyou are carrying out the installation yourself.The “Connection Examples” section provides a sample configuration.Do not connect the receiver to the power supply until all installation work has been properly carried out.Refer to the information in the “Safety Instructions” section.CONNECTING THE UNIT (SAT-IF CONNECTIONS)Connect the RF 1 input of the receiver to the antenna socket.Use a coaxial cable with a standard IEC connector.If the IEC connector is not yet fitted to the cable, strip the insulation from the cable as shown in the followingillustration and carefully fit the connector on to the end of the cable so that it is securely fitted.RF(HF) CONNECTIONWhen fi tting the connector, make sure that no strands from the braiding touch the innerconductor, otherwise a short circuit will occur.The quality of the reception signal depends on this connection!Bend backLengthwise slits (3x) Screw together
