If your TV has a stereo feature, you can receive the sound instereo via the Scart connection.Audio ConnectionDolby ConnectionIf you want to play the sound on your hi-fi system, connect theaudio cinch sockets to the input sockets on the hi-fi system with anappropriate cable.The Dolby Digital data fl ow output (AC 3) is intended for connection toa Dolby Digital system.TV ConnectionConnect the infrared receiver to the “IR REMOTE IN” socket andposition it such that it has a visual connection to the remote control. TheUFD 170 can only be operated by remote control.IR ReceiverInserting Batteries in the Remote ControlRemove the cover on the rear of the remote control. Insert the twobatteries supplied into the remote control, ensuring correct polarity -this is shown on the base of the battery compartment.Slide the cover back onto the housing until it clicks into place. Usedbatteries are special waste. Do not throw used batteries into yourhousehold waste; take them to a collection point for old batteries.Electronic equipment is not household waste - in accordance withdirective 2002/96/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND THECOUNCIL of 27th January 2003 on used electrical and electronicequipment, it must be disposed of properly.At the end of its service life, take this unit for disposal at a relevantoffi cial collection point.
