On screen displaysOn screen displaysImportant screen displaysThe receiver functions are controlled by a microprocessor and extensive software.The following explanations are intended to improve understanding of all proce-dures and to minimise the risk of mistakes.TV channel identifierThe channel identifier is displayed for several seconds every time the channel ischanged or by pressing the button.The I indicates that a channel is receivedeven if no picture can be seen (e.g. radio).The film symbol indicates a TV channelwith the selected programme shown nextto it and whether teletext is received. The current time, start time and end time ofthe current programme are shown on the next line provided these data are trans-mitted. The + in the third line stands for the programme selection from the mainprogramme list. If the favourite list is selected, you will see the "apple" symbol atthis point. This is followed by the set sound reproduction mode (depending on thedirection of the symbolised sound waves, mono left, mono right or stereo can beset, the digit indicates the number of sound channels). The programme title isshown in the box on the right.TeletextTransmitted teletext is processed from the receiver - also for encrypted signals - forthe television set.Radio channel indicatorThe identifier for the set radio channel hasthe same configuration. A music noteappears in the upper right-hand cornerindicating a radio channel. Programmetimes and text are displayed only if thecorresponding data are transmitted withthe signal.Error message"Bad or no signal" indicates that there is afault in the reception system or in the re-ceiver settings or the transponder is nottransmitting. Instead of the I the channelidentifier shows a satellite antenna to-gether with the message "bad or nosignal". Check the SAT-IF connection andthe LNB configuration. As an aid, refer tothe list of service settings provided at the end of this User's Guide.TV programme listPress the button to show the pro-gramme list. A + for the main programmelist or the "apple" symbol is indicated atthe top left. The list can be changed bypressing the button again.
