This functionsearches songs whose name contain the specifiedcharacter(s) in the list of the selected browse item(artist, album, etc).1 Enter Music Search modePress the [ ] button.“SEARCH” is displayed.2 Enter Alphabet Search modePress the [ ] button.“SEARCH <_ _ _>” is displayed.3 Select the character to be searched forOperation type OperationSelect the characters Turn the [VOL] knob.Move the cursor to the entercharacter positionPress the [4] or [¢] button.You can enter up to 3 characters.4 Determine the selected characterPress the [VOL] knob.Start search. When search is completed, the musicsearch mode is selected again at the selectedcharacter position.Cancelling the Alphabet Search modePress the [ ] button for at least 1 second.⁄• The time of Alphabet search may become longdepending on the number of songs or number ofplaylists in iPod.• To search for a character other than A to Z and 0 to 9,enter “*” at the first character position.
