31 ENENGLISHIn case of difficultyRemote control unitCause• The remote control is set to a differentoperation mode.• Batteries are exhausted.• The remote control unit is too far away fromthe main system, controlling angle is toolarge, or there is an obstacle between thereceiver and the remote.• No tape or CD is placed in the sourcecomponent.• An attempt is made to play a tape which isbeing recorded in the cassette deck.• The remote control has not been set to theoperation mode for the KENWOOD DVD playeryou wish to control.Remedy• Press any of the Input Selector keys to selectthe appropriate operation mode.• Replace with new batteries.• Operate the remote control unit within thecontrollable range.• Place the tape or CD in the source componentwhich you want to play.• Wait for recording to complete.• Press the DVD POWER key for more than 2seconds to activate the operation mode forthe KENWOOD DVD player you want to controlbefore operation. ªSymptomRemote control operation is not possible.
