English12Troubleshooting GuideWhat might appear to be a malfunction in your unit may just be the result ofslight misoperation or miswiring. Before calling service, first check thefollowing table for possible problems.SOLUTIONPOSSIBLE CAUSEPROBLEMNothing happens when thebuttons are pressed.The computer chip in the unit isnot functioning normally.Press the reset button on the unit(See page 3).The power does not turn on. The fuse has blown. After checking for short circuitsin the cables, replace the fusewith one having the same rating.No ACC position on vehicleignition.Connect the same cable to theignition as the battery cable.No video picture appears. The unit is not connected to theparking brake detection switch.Make proper connectionsaccording to ”Connection“ (Seepage 11).The parking brake is notengaged.For safety reasons no videopicture are displayed while thevehicle is moving. Engaging theparking brake will cause pictureto be displayed.The screen is dark. The unit is in a location wheretemperature is low.If the temperature of the monitorunit drops, the screen mayappear darker when power is firstturned on due to thecharacteristics of a liquid crystalpanel. Wait a while after turningpower on for the temperature torise. Normal brightness willreturn.
