English 23General informationMaintenanceCleaning the cabinet• Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergentsolution. Do not use a solution containing alcohol, spirits,ammonia or abrasive.Cleaning discs• When a disc becomes dirty, clean it with a cleaning cloth,wipe the disc from the center out. Do not wipe in circularmotion.• Do not use solvents such as benzene, thinner commerciallyavailable cleaners, or antistatic spray intended for analoguerecords.Cleaning the heads and tape path• To ensure good recording and playback quality, clean theheads, the capstans and pressure rollers after every 50 hoursof tape operation.• Use a cotton swab slight moistened with cleaning fluid.• You also can clean the heads by playing a cleaning tape once.Caution on condensationCondensation (of dew) may occur inside the unitwhen there is a great difference in temperaturebetween this unit and the outside. This unit maynot function properly if condensation occurs. In thiscase, leave the unit for a few hours and restart theoperation after the condensation has dried up.Be specially cautious against condensation in thefollowing circumstances:When this unit is carried from one place to anotheracross a large difference in temperature, when thehumidity in the room where this unit is installedincreases, etc.Warning noticeIn most cases it is an infringement of copyright tomake copies of tapes or discs without the permissionof the copyright owners.
