19CONVENTIONAL SCANIf the Scan function is programmed, zones or channels can bescanned by pressing the key programmed as Scan. Scancan be used as either Single Scan or Multi Scan.• Single Scan monitors only the channels of the currently selectedzone, which have been added to the scanning sequence. If setup to scan the Priority channel, the Priority channel will bescanned even if it is not within the currently selected zone.• Multi Scan monitors all channels of every zone, which have beenadded to the scanning sequence.To activate Scan, press the key programmed as Scan.• The icon and “ ” or the revert zone and channel numberappear.• The zone add indicator ( ) will appear when theselected zone is added to the scan sequence. The channel addindicator ( ) will appear when the selected channel isadded to the scan sequence.• When a call is received, scanning stops and the zone andchannel digits appear. Press the PTT switch and speak into themicrophone to respond to the call. The transceiver will continuescanning after a predetermined time delay if the PTT switch isreleased and no further signal is received.To stop scanning, press the Scan key again.ADD TO S CAN/ DELETE FROM S CANPress the key programmed as Scan Delete/Add, to add orremove each channel to or from the scan sequence.• The channel add indicator ( ) will appear when theselected channel is added to the scan sequence.Press and hold the key programmed as Scan Delete/Add, toadd or remove each zone to or from the scan sequence.• The zone add indicator ( ) will appear when theselected zone is added to the scan sequence.
