28DTMF (DUAL TONE MULTI FREQUENCY) CALLSMANUAL D IALINGMethod 1: Press and hold the PTT switch, then enter thedesired digits using the front panel keypad.• If your dealer has activated the Keypad Auto PTT function, youneed not press the PTT switch while pressing the keys on thekeypad. The DTMF code will be sent automatically when youpress a key.Method 2: Enter the desired digits using the front panelkeypad (maximum of 16 digits). After entering the completenumber, press the PTT switch.• The DTMF code is transmitted after pressing the PTT switch.Note: If you switch the power OFF before sending the number, thenumber will be cleared from memory.STORE AND S ENDStore and send allows you to make DTMF calls without theneed for a DTMF keypad.1 Press the key programmed as Autodial.• “ ” appears.2 Rotate the selector to select a digit.• Alternatively, you can enter digits using the DTMF keypad.3 Press the C> key to accept the entered digit and move tothe next digit.• Press the A key to delete an incorrect character. Press andhold the A key to delete all entered characters.4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 to enter the entire number.• You can enter up to 16 digits.5 Press the PTT switch to make the call or the Side 2 key topage the selected recipient.
