122GENERALThe electronic cruise control allowsto drive your car at the required speedwithout pressing the acceleratorpedal. This reduces fatigue when dri-ving on motorways because the setspeed is automatically maintained.IMPORTANT The device can onlybe set to speeds exceeding 30 km/h.fig. 118P4T0307The cruise control mustonly be used when thetraffic and road conditionsallow to keep a constant speed intotal safety for an adequately longtime.The device is automatically switchedoff when:– the brake pedal is pressed– the clutch pedal is pressed.CONTROLS (fig. 118)The cruise control is operatedby means of switch A, ring B and but-ton C.Switch A has two position:– OFF: in this position, the device isoff;– ON: this is the normal device op-erating position. The CRUISE warn-ing light D will come on when the de-vice starts governing the engine.Ring B is used to set and maintainthe car speed or decrease the setspeed.Turn ring B to position (+) to set thespeed reached or to increase thestored speed.Turn ring B to position (–) to de-crease the stored speed.The speed will be increased or de-creased by approximately 1 km/heach time ring B is operated. Hold thering turned to set the speed continu-ously. The new set speed will be au-tomatically kept.Button C allows to reset the storedvalue.IMPORTANT Turn the ignition keyto STOP or switch A to OFF to deletethe stored speed and switch the sys-tem off.CRUISE CONTROL (where fitted))
