In this example, the treadbelt will change tracking as shown bythe blue arrow due to the increased tension on the right side and the reduced tension on the left. Readjust ifnecessary.7. If normal tracking procedures are not working satisfactorily, repeat the same procedure just performed on thetake-up rollers on the drive rollers as discussed in the following section, Drive Roller Alignment.5.5. Drive Roller AlignmentThe drive roller is aligned at the factory. However, if the treadbelt is centered at the rear roller but is off center in thefront, an adjustment is necessary. This problem often appears as the belt is running diagonally (closer to one side atthe top but farther away at the bottom). The drive roller is secured to the frame with two hex head bolts (3/8 socket)as shown in the following figure. The holes in the frame are elongated; this allows for forward and aft adjustment ofthe drive roller.Figure 5-7.
