The MobileMapper 6 USB port isused exclusively for a connection to a computer via MicrosoftActiveSync.When this cable is used, the MobileMapper 6 is powered fromthe computer and the receiver batteries are neither used norcharged.Battery CompartmentThe receiver uses two standard AA batteries, whetherrechargeable or not. To access the battery compartment [11],loosen the quarter-turn finger screw [12].Side View (Left) Flashlight ButtonThe flashlight button [13] has two functions:• Screen backlight: Press the button shortly to change thescreen backlight setting. There are five different backlightlevels (off, low, medium, high, very high). Each new shortpress on the button allows you to select the next backlightlevel.• Flashlight: A long press on this button (about twoseconds) will turn on the flashlight. To turn it off, hold thebutton pressed until the light goes out.Hold Slide SwitchSetting the Hold slide switch [14]* to “HOLD” freezes thescreen and makes the stylus and buttons unusable. Use thisbutton to suspend the use of the receiver and protect it fromany accidental action.External Antenna InputUse the external antenna input [15]* to connect an externalantenna to the receiver.
