First-Time Setup, Watching TV 11The TV/VCR/DVD can memorize available TV channels. Ifyou are using a Cable Box or Satellite Receiver, you do notneed to set channels at the TV/VCR/DVD. Set theTV/VCR/DVD to the output channel of the Cable Box orSatellite Receiver (channel 03 or 04). Then select channels atthe Cable Box or Satellite Receiver.1 Press POWER to turn on the TV/VCR/DVD. Thered VCR/TV light will appear on the front of theTV/VCR/DVD.2 Press s or B to select ENGLISH (ENG),ESPANOL (ESP), or FRANCAIS (FRA). Theselected language will appear inside the [ ]. This willbe the language of the TV/VCR/DVD setup menus.– SET UP –B LANGUAGE[ENGLISH] ESP FRAAUTO PRESET• You may not see these menuswhen you turn on theTV/VCR/DVD. Set channels andthe menu language later. Detailsare on page 18.• To select Cable TV channelshigher than 99, press the+100/+10 button, then pressthe Number buttons for the lasttwo digits. For example, to selectchannel 125, press +100/+10,2, 5.Precede single-digit channel num-bers with a zero (for example,01 ... 09).• Pressing CH. / in DVDmode will return the unit toTV/VCR mode.• If you turn off the unit in DVDmode, when you turn it on again,it will be in TV/VCR mode.Helpful Hints3 Press or to select AUTO PRESET. Thenpress B. The TV/VCR/DVD scans and memorizesactive channels in your area.When scanning is complete, the TV/VCR/DVD will goto the lowest available channel automatically.4 To watch TV, press the CH. / buttons toselect memorized channels. Memorized channels arethose that appear automatically when you flip throughchannels. If a channel is skipped, you still can use theNumber buttons to select it. This is a non-memorizedchannel; it may have weak reception in your area.Remember, if you are using a Cable Box/SatelliteReceiver, set the TV/VCR/DVD to channel 3 or 4 orAUX.
