Charge the battery cartridge with room tem-perature at 10 °C - 40 °C (50 °F - 104 °F). Leta hot battery cartridge cool down beforecharging it.FUNCTIONALDESCRIPTIONCAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore adjusting or checking function on the tool.Installing or removing batterycartridgeCAUTION: Always switch off the tool beforeinstalling or removing of the battery cartridge.CAUTION: Hold the tool and the battery car-tridge firmly when installing or removing batterycartridge. Battery cartridgeTo remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the toolwhile sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slipit into place. Insert it all the way until it locks in placewith a little click. If you can see the red indicator on theupper side of the button, it is not locked completely.CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridgefully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not,it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury toyou or someone around you.CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridgeforcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it isnot being inserted correctly.Battery protection systemThe tool is equipped with a battery protection system.This system automatically cuts off power to the motor toextend battery life.The tool will automatically stop during operation if thetool and/or battery are placed under one of the followingconditions:Overloaded:The tool is operated in a manner that causes it to drawan abnormally high current.In this situation, release the switch trigger on the tooland stop the application that caused the tool to becomeoverloaded. Then pull the switch trigger again to restart.If the tool does not start, the battery is overheated.In this situation, let the battery cool before pulling theswitch trigger again.Low battery voltage:The remaining battery capacity is too low and the toolwill not operate. If you pull the switch trigger, the motorruns again but stops soon. In this situation, remove andrecharge the battery. |
