13 ENGLISH15. Do not force the tool. It will do the job better andwith less likelihood of a risk of injury at the rate forwhich it was designed.16. Do not use the tool in the rain or in wet orvery damp conditions. The electric motor is notwaterproof.17. Hold the tool firmly when using the tool.18. Do not operate the tool at no-loadunnecessarily.19. Before checking the shear blades, taking careof faults, or removing foreign objects caughtin the shear blades, always switch off the tooland remove the battery cartridge.20. Never point the shear blades to yourself orothers.21. If the blades stop moving due to the stuck offoreign objects between the blades duringoperation, switch off the tool and remove thebattery cartridge, and then remove the foreignobjects using tools such as pliers. Removingthe foreign objects by hand may cause an injuryfor the reason that the blades may move in reac-tion to removing the foreign objects.Maintenance and storage1. When the tool is stopped for servicing, inspec-tion or storage, switch off the tool and removethe battery cartridge, and make sure all mov-ing parts have come to a stop. Allow the toolto cool before making any inspections, adjust-ment, etc.2. Always allow the tool to cool down beforestoring.3. When not in use, attach the blade cover to thetool and store the tool indoors in dry, and highlocked-up place, out of reach of children.4. Maintain the tool with care. Keep cutting edgesharp and clean for best performance and toreduce the risk of injury. Follow instructionsfor lubricating and changing accessories.Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil andgrease.5. Check damaged parts. Before further use ofthe tool, any part which is damaged should becarefully checked to determine that it will oper-ate properly and perform its intended function.Check for alignment of moving parts, bindingof moving parts, breakage of parts, mountingand any other condition that may affect itsoperation. A guard or other part that is damagedshould be properly repaired or replaced by yourauthorized service center.6. Use genuine spare parts only.7. When moving the tool to another location,including during work, always remove thebattery cartridge and put the blade cover onthe shear blades. Never carry or transport thetool with the blades running. Never grasp theblades with your hands.8. Clean the tool and especially the shear bladesafter use, and before putting the tool into stor-age for extended periods. Lightly oil the shearblades and put on the blade cover.9. Do not dispose of the battery(ies) in a fire. Thecell may explode. Check with local codes forpossible special disposal instructions.10. Do not open or mutilate the battery(ies).Released electrolyte is corrosive and maycause damage to the eyes or skin. It may betoxic if swallowed.11. Before using battery cartridge, read all instruc-tions and cautionary markings on (1) batterycharger, (2) battery, and (3) product usingbattery.2. Do not disassemble or tamper the batterycartridge. It may result in a fire, excessive heat,or explosion.3. If operating time has become excessivelyshorter, stop operating immediately. It mayresult in a risk of overheating, possible burnsand even an explosion.4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse themout with clear water and seek medical atten-tion right away. It may result in loss of youreyesight.5. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with any con-ductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in a con-tainer with other metal objects such asnails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to wateror rain.A battery short can cause a large currentflow, overheating, possible burns and even abreakdown.6. Do not store and use the tool and battery car-tridge in locations where the temperature mayreach or exceed 50 °C (122 °F).7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even ifit is severely damaged or is completely wornout. The battery cartridge can explode in a fire.8. Do not nail, cut, crush, throw, drop the batterycartridge, or hit against a hard object to thebattery cartridge. Such conduct may result in afire, excessive heat, or explosion.9. Do not use a damaged battery. |
