18 ENGLISHInstalling or removing the chipreceiverOptional accessoryCAUTION: When installing or removing thechip receiver, always wear gloves so that yourhands do not directly contact the shear blades.NOTICE: The blade cover cannot be installed ifthe chip receiver is installed on the tool. Beforecarrying or storing the tool, uninstall the chipreceiver, and then install the blade cover to avoidblade exposure.NOTICE: Be sure to remove the blade coverbefore installing the chip receiver.The chip receiver gathers discarded leaves and makesclean-up afterward much easier. It can be installed oneither side of the tool.To install the chip receiver, put and press the chipreceiver onto the shear blades so that the hooks fit intothe grooves on the shear blades.► Fig.25: 1. Hook► Fig.26: 1. HookNOTICE: Make sure that the chip receiver doesnot overlap the branch catcher.► Fig.27: 1. Branch catcherTo remove the chip receiver, press the levers on bothsides to release the hooks.► Fig.28: 1. LeverNOTICE: Never try to remove the chip receiverby an excessive force with its hooks locked in thegrooves of the shear blades.OPERATIONAttaching the shoulder harnessOptional accessory for DUN500WCAUTION: Before operation, make sure thatthe shoulder harness is properly attached to thehanger on the tool.NOTE: Use the shoulder harness attached to the tool.Before operation, adjust the shoulder harness accord-ing to the user size to prevent fatigue.1. Contacting with power linesor using the tool near power lines may cause seriousinjury or electric shock resulting in death.WARNING: Keep hands away from shearblades.WARNING: Be extremely careful to maintaincontrol of the tool at all times. Do not allow thetool to be deflected toward you or anyone in thework vicinity. Failure to keep control of the toolcould result in serious injury to the bystander and theoperator.CAUTION: Avoid operating the tool in veryhot weather as much as practicable. When operat-ing the tool, be careful of your physical condition.CAUTION: Be careful not to accidentallycontact a metal fence or other hard objects whiletrimming. The shear blades may break and causean injury.CAUTION: Be careful not to allow the shearblades to contact the ground. The tool may recoiland cause an injury.CAUTION: Overreaching with a hedge trim-mer, particularly from a ladder, is extremelydangerous. Do not work while standing on anythingwobbly or infirm.NOTICE: Do not attempt to cut branches thickerthan 10 mm in diameter with the tool. Cut branchesto 10 cm lower than the cutting height using branchcutters before using the tool.► Fig.33: (1) Cutting height (2) 10 cmNOTICE: Do not cut down dead trees or similarhard objects. Doing so may damage the tool.NOTICE: Do not trim the grass or weeds whileusing the shear blades.
