21STANDARDS OF USENOTE – The machine can be supplied with some of thecomponents already fitted.Attach the stone-guard by inserting the pin (1) andthe spring (2) as shown. First, insert the pin into the right-hand housing (4). Next fit the eyelet end (3) of the springinto the central slot, and lastly insert the other end of thepin in place (5).Insert the lower right part (1) and lower left part (2) ofthe handle into the respective holes and lock into positionwith the screws (3) supplied.Attach the upper part of the handle (4) to the lower partsusing the knobs (5) and the nuts and bolts supplied asshown. Attach the cable clamp (6) to the position shownand then attach the cable (7). The correct position of theelectric cable hook (8) is as shown.Assemble the two parts (1) and (2), making sure thatthe hooks are fully clicked into position.To attach the wheels, follow the steps shown. Attachthe wheels selecting one of the holes for the preferred cut-ting heights, fully tightening the pin (1) using the wrench (2)provided.The engine is controlled by a dual action switch toprevent starting it accidentally. To start, press the button (2)and pull the lever (1). The engine automatically stops whenthe lever (1) is released.The cutting height is adjusted by attaching thewheels to the required hole, fully tightening the pin (1) usingthe wrench (2) provided. All the wheels must be at the sameheight.MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT ONLY WHEN THE BLADE ISSTOPPED.Lift the stone-guard and attach the grass-catcher(1) correctly as shown in the drawing.Connect the extension cable correctly as indicated.Start the engine by pressing the safety push-button (2) andpulling the switchgear lever (1).3.23.13. FINISH ASSEMBLYGB While cutting, ensure that the electric cable isalways behind you and on the area of grass already cut.The lawn will look better if it is always cut to the sameheight and in alternate directions.When you have finishing mowing, release the lever(1). FIRST disconnect the cable extension from the supplysocket (2) and THEN from the side of the lawnmower’sswitchgear (3).WAIT FOR THE BLADE TO STOP before carrying out anytype of work on the machine.IMPORTANT – Regular, careful maintenance is essen-tial for keeping the safety level and original perform-ance of the machine unchanged in time.Store the lawnmower in a dry place.1) Wear strong working gloves during any cleaning, main-tenance or adjustment operation on the machine.2) Remove the grass debris after each cut and mud accu-mulated inside the chassis to avoid their drying and thusmaking the next start-up difficult.3) Always ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear ofdebris.All operations on the blade should be carried out ata specialized centre.Note for specialized centres: Reassemble the blade (2) asshown in the drawing and tighten the central screw (1)using a torque wrench set to 16-20 Nm.Do not use forced water and avoid wetting themotor or the electrical components.Do not use harsh products for cleaning the chassis.Should you have any doubts or problems, do not hesitateto contact your nearest Service Centre or your Dealer.4.24.14.
