16 ENGLISHInstalling conventional planer blades1. Set a conventional planer blade onto the bladegauge, aligning its cutting edge along the guide wall onthe blade gauge horizontally.► Fig.9: 1. Conventional planer blade 2. Blade gauge3. Cutting edge 4. Guide wall2. Place the adjusting plate over the conventionalplaner blade, and then slightly tighten the screws.3. Push the adjusting plate forwards until its position-ing guide neatly and entirely fits along the rear side wallof the blade gauge.4. Hold the adjusting plate where it is and tighten thescrews to secure it in place.► Fig.10: 1. Adjusting plate 2. Conventional planerblade 3. Screw 4. Positioning guide 5. Rearside wall 6. Blade gauge5. Clean out all the wood chips and foreign mattersadhering to the drum and conventional planer blade.6. Slip the positioning guide of the adjusting plateinto the guide groove in the drum, and then place thedrum plate over the conventional planer blade (withadjusting plate).7. InstallationboltFor tool with mini planer bladesNOTE: A pair of planer blades are assembled inthe drum. Repeat the following procedures for eachplaner blade.Removing mini planer blades1. Loosen the installation bolts one turn using thebox wrench provided.► Fig.12: 1. Installation bolt 2. Box wrench2. Slide the mini planer blade out of the drum bypushing one end of the blade outwards from the beltcover side.► Fig.13: 1. Mini planer blade 2. Drum 3. Belt cover 4.T-handle of box wrenchNOTE: Use the ends of T-handle of the box wrench toslide the mini planer blade out for safer operation andmaintenance.Installing mini planer blades1. Clean out all the wood chips and foreign mattersadhering to the drum and mini planer blade.2. Slide a mini planer blade along between the drumand set plate by pushing one end of the blade inwardsfrom the side opposite to the belt cover.3. BoxwrenchMini planer blade calibrationPerform a calibration on planner blades at regular inter-vals to optimize work efficiency.1. Loosen the installation bolts one turn using thebox wrench provided.2. Slide the mini planer blade out of the drum bypushing one end of the blade outwards from the beltcover side.3. Unscrew the installation bolts from the drum usingthe box wrench.4. Disassemble the drum plate and set plate (withadjusting plate) from the drum.► Fig.15: 1. Installation bolt 2. Drum plate 3. Set the mini planer blade onto the blade gauge,aligning its cutting edge along the guide wall on theblade gauge horizontally.8. Place the set plate (with adjusting plate) over themini planer blade, aligning the guide ridges on the setplate with guide grooves on the mini planer blade.► Fig.17: 1. Mini planer blade 2. Push the adjusting plate forwards until its position-ing guide neatly and entirely fits along the rear side wallof the blade gauge.10.
