121 234010244To install the blade, mount it carefully onto the spindle, making sure that the direction of the arrow on the surfaceof the blade matches the direction of the arrow on theblade case.Install the outer flange and hex bolt, and then use thesocket wrench to tighten the hex bolt (left-handed)securely counterclockwise while pressing the shaft lock.1234 56010243CAUTION:• The ring 25.4 mm or 30 mm in outer diameter isfactory-installed onto the spindle. Before mountingthe blade onto the spindle, always be sure that thecorrect ring for the arbor hole of the blade youintend to use is installed onto the spindle.Install the outer flange and hex bolt, and then use thesocket wrench to tighten the hex bolt securelycounterclockwise while pressing the shaft lock.1 234 5010562Return the blade guard and center cover to its originalposition. Then tighten the hex bolt clockwise to securethe center cover. Release the handle from the raisedposition by pulling the stopper pin. Lower the handle tomake sure that the blade guard moves properly. Makesure the shaft lock has released spindle before makingcut.Dust bag (accessory)123011339The use of the dust bag makes cutting operationscleaner and dust collection easier. To attach the dust bag,fit it onto the dust nozzle. When the dust bag is about half full, remove the dust bagfrom the tool and pull the fastener out. Empty the dust bag ofits contents, tapping it lightly so as to remove particlesadhering to the insides which might hamper further collection.NOTE:If you connect a vacuum cleaner to your saw, cleaneroperations can be performed.Securing workpieceWARNING:• It is extremely important to always secure theworkpiece correctly with the proper type of viseor crown molding stoppers. Failure to do so mayresult in serious personal injury and cause damageto the tool and/or the workpiece.• After a cutting operation do not raise the bladeuntil it has come to a complete stop. The raisingof a coasting blade may result in serious personalinjury and damage to the workpiece.• When cutting a workpiece that is longer than thesupport base of the saw, the material should besupported the entire length beyond the support baseand at the same height to keep the material level.Proper workpiece support will help avoid blade pinch andpossible kickback which may result in serious personalinjury. Do not rely solely on the vertical vise and/orhorizontal vise to secure the workpiece. Thin materialtends to sag. Support workpiece over its entire length toavoid blade pinch and possible KICKBACK.1 20015491. Support2. Turn base1. Dust nozzle2. Dust bag3. Fastener1. Socket wrench2. Blade case3. Center cover4.
