Ifyour tool is not aligned properly, perform the following:1. Miter anglePush the carriage toward the guide fence and tighten theknob to secure the carriage.Loosen the grip which secures the turn base. Turn theturn base so that the pointer points to 0° on the miterscale. Then turn the turn base slightly clockwise andcounterclockwise to seat the turn base in the 0° miternotch. (Leave as it is if the pointer does not point to 0°.)Loosen the hex bolts securing the guide fence using thesocket wrench. (Fig. 48)Lower the handle fully and lock it in the lowered positionby pushing in the stopper pin. Square the side of theblade with the face of the guide fence using a triangularrule, try-square, etc. Then securely tighten the hex boltson the guide fence in the order from the right side.(Fig. 49)Make sure that the pointer points to 0° on the miter scale. If the pointer does not point to 0°, loosen the screw whichsecures the pointer and adjust the pointer so that it willpoint to 0°. Turn the hex bolt on the leftside of the arm clockwise as far as it will go. Thentighten the lever securely. (Fig. 53)Make sure that the two pointers on the arm point toeach 0° on the bevel scale on the arm holder. If theydo not point to 0°, loosen the screws which securethe pointers and adjust them so that they will point to0°. (Fig. 54)2. 45° bevel angle (Fig. 55)Adjust the 45° bevel angle only after performing 0°bevel angle adjustment. To adjust left 45° bevelangle, loosen the lever and tilt the blade to the leftfully. Make sure that the pointer on the arm points to45° on the bevel scale on the arm holder. If thepointer does not point to 45°, turn the left 45° bevelangle adjusting bolt on the side of the arm holderuntil the pointer points to 45°.To adjust right 45° bevel angle, perform the sameprocedure described above.Adjusting for smooth beveling action (Fig. 56)The hex lock nut holding together the arm and armholder has been factory adjusted to assure smooth bev-eling action and to guarantee precise cutting. Do nottamper with it. Should looseness develop at the arm andarm holder connection, tighten the hex lock nut using awrench.Adjusting the position of laser line (Fig. 57 & 58)For model LS1214L onlyWARNING:• As the tool is plugged when adjusting the position oflaser line, take a full caution especially at switch action.Pulling the switch trigger accidentally cause an acci-dental start of the tool and personal injury.CAUTION:• Never look into the laser beam directly.
