25 ENGLISHUsing the tool with the plunge baseAlways hold the grips firmly with both hands duringoperation. Operate the tool in the same way as thetrimmer base.Using the straight guideOptional accessory1. Install the straight guide to the guide holder bytightening the wing nut. Insert the guide holder into theholes in the plunge base, and then tighten the wingbolts.► Fig.65: 1. Wing bolt 2. Guide holder 3. Wing nut4. Straight guide2. Loosen the wing nut on the straight guide andadjust the distance between the trimmer bit and thestraight guide. At the desired distance, tighten the wingnut.► Fig.66: 1. Wing nut3. Operate the tool in the same way as the templetguide for the trimmer base.► Fig.69Using the parallel rulerThe parallel ruler is effectively used for straight cutswhen chamfering or grooving. Adjust the distancebetween the trimmer bit and the parallel ruler. At thedesired distance, tighten the wing bolts to secure theparallel ruler. When cutting, move the tool with theparallel ruler flush with the side of the workpiece.► Fig.70If the distance (A) between the side of the workpieceand the cutting position is too wide for the parallel ruler,or if the side of the workpiece is not straight, the parallelruler cannot be used.In this case, firmly clamp a straight board to the work-piece and use it as a guide against the plunge base.Feed the tool in the direction of the arrow.► Fig.71Changing knob type grip to bar typegripTo install the bar type grip on the plunge base, loosenthe screw of the knob type grip, then remove the knobtype grip, and then install the bar type grip by tighteningit.► Fig.72: 1. By connecting a supported vacuumcleaner to the tool, you can run the vacuum cleanerautomatically along with the switch operation of the tool.► Fig.73To use the wireless activation function, prepare following items:• A wireless unit (optional accessory)• A vacuum cleaner which supports the wirelessactivation functionThe overview of the wireless activation function setting isas follows. Dust or dirtmay cause malfunction if it comes into the slot of thewireless unit.NOTICE: To prevent the malfunction caused bystatic, touch a static discharging material, suchas a metal part of the tool, before picking up thewireless unit.NOTICE: When installing the wireless unit,always be sure that the wireless unit is insertedin the correct direction and the lid is completelyclosed.1. LidAfter removing the wireless unit, keep it in the suppliedcase or a static-free container.NOTICE: Always use the hooks on the back ofthe lid when removing the wireless unit. If thehooks do not catch the wireless unit, close the lidcompletely and open it slowly again.
