This system automatically cuts off the power toextend tool and battery life. The tool will automaticallystop during operation if the tool or battery is placedunder one of the following conditions:Overload protectionThis protection works when the tool is operated in amanner that causes it to draw an abnormally high cur-rent. In this situation, turn the tool off and stop the appli-cation that caused the tool to become overloaded. Thenturn the tool on to restart.Overheat protectionWhen the tool or battery is overheated, the tool stopsautomatically and the lamp blinks. In this case, let thetool and battery cool before turning the tool on again.Overdischarge protectionThis protection works when the remaining batterycapacity gets low. In this situation, remove the batteryfrom the tool and charge the battery.Switch actionCAUTION: Before installing the battery car-tridge into the tool, always check to see that theswitch trigger actuates properly and returns tothe "OFF" position when released.To prevent the switch trigger from accidentally pulled,the trigger-lock button is provided.To start the tool, depress the trigger-lock button from "B"side and pull the switch trigger.Tool speed is increased by increasing pressure on theswitch trigger. Switch triggerAccidental re-start preventivefunctionEven if you install the battery cartridge while pulling theswitch trigger, the tool does not start.To start the tool, first release the switch trigger and thenpull the switch trigger.Lighting the lampCAUTION: Do not look in the light or see thesource of light directly.To turn on the lamp, slightly pull the switch trigger, andthen release it.
