Multiple Exposures • Infrared PhotographyMultiple Exposures1. Set the R-M Lever to 'M' (multipleexposure). The lever can be 100moved to 'M' either before or after releasingthe shutter.2. Press the Cocking Lever as far as it will goin order to cock the shutter and set the mirror. The film will not advance at this time. Theshutter can now be released, creating adouble exposure. This procedure can berepeated as often as desired to create asmany exposures as necessary. When photographing the same subject two ormore times though, exposure compensationis necessary. The same is true with differentsubjects that are all evenly illuminated. Withsubjects of different brightness, the darkerone is normally photographed first. However,it is not within the scope of this operatingmanual to teach multiple exposure technique,as many excellent books dealing with thisCAUTIONUnlike the "R" lever, the "M" lever does not returnautomatically to its normal position. Therefore youmust do it manually. If you forget, the film is nottransported and not only are subsequentexposures wasted, but the planned multipleexposure also.32Infrared PhotographyRZ lenses need no focusing mount be-cause of the bellows feature. Normally, lenses with focusing mounts have a second-ary index for infrared film. Therefore, if youwant to do critical infrared photography, youshould focus as usual and before exposuresmove the focus slightly towards the camerabody, as per table below. There is amillimeter scale on top of the focus scale.RZ67 PRO II Infrared Correction TableShows required adjustment at infinity
