POWER INVERTERThe inverter converts 12 volt electrical currentfrom the coach batteries into 110 volt electricalcurrent when an exterior power source such as,shore power or the generator, are not availablefor use. The inverter will supply power at a 110volt level until the coach batteries are completelydischarged or another power source becomesavailable. The inverter creates heat while running andneeds plenty of ventilation to run properly. Donot store items on or around the inverter. Theinverter will also make an audible hummingnoise while operating. Please see manufacturer instructions for further information and instructions.BATTERY ISOLATOR CONTROLLERWhen the motorhome engine is not running, the chassis and coach batteries are kept separated from eachother within the electrical system through the use of an isolating controller. The controller prevents the coachbatteries from discharging the chassis battery when the motorhome is parked. Some additional characteristicsof the isolator system include:1. Delays connecting the coach batteries to the charging system for approx. 15 sec. to allow thealternator time to reach full charging ability.2. When the alternator reaches full charging ability, the isolator will electrically connect the coach andchassis batteries together for charging.3. If the charging voltage drops below 12 volts for a period of 4 seconds due to low idol speed and/orexcessive load, the isolator will disconnect the coach batteries until the voltage returns to a level of13.3 volts for about 10 seconds.4. In the event the automotive battery is low or fully discharged, it will be necessary to press and hold theaux. start button located on the dash. By pressing the aux. start button, power from the coachbatteries will assist with starting the RV.Mandalay 10-3
