Troubleshooting & MaintenanceThe following table describes some of the symptoms, probable causes and possiblesolutions with respect to the installation of the 500413 HDMI 8x8 Matrix Switch.Problems Causes SolutionsLosing color or no videosignal output.The connecting cablesmay not be connectedcorrectly or may bedamaged.Check whether the cablesare connected correctlyand in good condition.Faulty or loose connection. Make sure there is a goodconnection.No output image whenswitching.No signal at the input /output end.Check with another sinkdevice if there is any signalat the input / output end.Faulty or loose connection. Make sure there is a goodconnection.The display does notsupport the inputresolution.Switch to another inputsource, or set the displayto learn the EDID datasetting of the input.Cannot control the MatrixSwitch via the front panelbuttons.Front panel buttons arelocked.Send the RS232 commandto unlockCannot control the MatrixSwitch via the IR remote.The IR remote batteriesare too weak.Replace with newbatteries.The IR remote isdamaged.Send it to an authorizeddealer to be repaired.The IR remote is too farfrom the IR sensor, or it isnot being pointed correctlyat the IR sensor.Move the IR remote closerto the IR sensor, whilepointing the IR remotedirectly at the IR sensor.The IR sensor connectedto the IR IN port does notsupport carrier wave.Replace the IR sensor forone supporting carrierwave.The power Indicatorremains “off” when the unitFaulty or loose powerconnection.Make sure there is a goodconnection.
