We’ve seen too many otherwiseperfect components damaged in transit for lack of a proper shippingcarton, so please: Save that box!CHOOSING A LOCATIONChoose a location that is well ventilated (with at least several inches to bothsides and behind), and that will provide a clear line of sight, within 25 feet/8meters, between the T 535’s front panel and your primary listening/viewingposition. This will ensure reliable infrared remote control communications.The T 535 generates a modest amount of heat, but nothing that shouldtrouble adjacent components. It is perfectly possible to stack the T 535 ontop of other components.QUICK STARTIn case you simply cannot wait to experience the performance of your newNAD T 535, we provide the following “Quick Start” instructions to get youunderway.Please make all the connections to your T 535 with the unit unplugged. It isalso advisable to power-down or unplug all associated components whilemaking or breaking any signal or AC power connections.PLAY A CD OR DVD MOVIE• Using the supplied audio/video cable connector, connect the T 535’scomposite VIDEO OUT or S-VIDEO OUT jack to your TV/monitor’scorresponding input. Connect likewise the T 535’s MIXED AUDIO OUT toyour TV/monitor’s applicable AUDIO input.• Plug the AC mains plug into the AC outlet; the LED on the front panelwill be illuminated amber indicating the T 535 is in standby mode readyto accept commands from either the front panel power switch or theDVD 9 remote.• To start playback of the DVD player; press the [OPEN/CLOSE] button onthe DVD 9 remote control or in the front panel.• Insert the media and press [PLAY] button to start playback. Youshould hear audio and see an image on the TV/monitor.
