Before connecting the plug to the mains power source, ensurethat it is firmly connected to the T 758’s AC Mains inputs socket first.• Always disconnect the mains power plug from the mains powersource first, before disconnecting the cable from the T 758’s ACMains input socket.9 SWITCHED AC OUTLETThis convenience outlet can supply switched power to anothercomponent or accessory.• The total draw of all devices connected to this outlet must notexceed 100 watts.• It is powered ON and OFF by the front panel STANDBY button or bythe AVR 4’s ON and OFF buttons.10 DIGITAL AUDIO IN (COAXIAL 1-2, OPTICAL 1-2)• Connect to the corresponding optical or coaxial digital output ofsources such as CD or BD/DVD players, digital cable box, digitaltuners and other applicable components.• Coaxial and optical digital input association is configurable via theSource Setup item of the Setup Menu OSD.11 HDMI (HDMI 1-3, HDMI OUT)• Connect the sets of HDMI input to the HDMI OUT connectors ofsource components such as DVD player, BD player or HDTV satellite/cable box.• Connect the HDMI OUT to a HDTV or projector with HDMI input.HDMI OUT supports 4K@60 4:4:4 and HDCP 2.2 compliant.12 AUDIO PRE-OUT• AUDIO PRE- OUT makes it possible to use the T 758 as a preamplifierto external power amplifiers for some or all channels.• Connect FRONT L, FRONT R, CENTER, SURR R, SURR L, BACK L andBACK R to the respective channel input of a power amplifier oramplifiers driving the corresponding applicable speakers.• Unlike the full range channels, there is no power amplifier built-intothe T 758 for a subwoofer. Connect the SUBW output to powered(“active”) subwoofers or to power amplifier channels driving apassive system.ZONE 2/HEIGHT 1/HEIGHT 2• BACK L and BACK R are also assigned as secondary ZONE 2, HEIGHT1 or HEIGHT 2 audio pre-out. This is applicable if Zone 2, Height 1 orHeight 2 is the selected setting of “Back Amplifier” in the “AmplifierSetup” menu.• Refer also to the item about AMPLIFIER SETUP below.NOTENever connect both the external amplifier and T 758’s speaker outputs tothe same set of speakers.13 SPEAKERS• Connect the respective speaker’s FRONT L, FRONT R, CENTER, SURRR, SURR L, BACK L, and BACK R channels to their correspondingloudspeakers. Make sure the “+” (red) terminal and “-” (black) terminalare connected to the corresponding “+” and “-” terminals of theloudspeaker. Use extra care to ensure that no stray wires or strandscross between posts or terminals at either end.• BACK L and BACK R can also be assigned as ZONE 2, HEIGHT 1 orHEIGHT 2 speaker level output.
