Turn the drive access lever clockwise to enablethe drive.6. Turn ON any currently-attached external devicesthat have separate power cords and switches(unless the device installation instructionsspecified that the device be turned on after theprocessing unit).7. Turn the computer.8. Turn ON any currently-attached external devicesthat were specified to be turned on after thecomputer.The BIOS ROM power-on diagnostics/initializationroutines perform the power-on testing thatoccurs each time the machine is turned on, thenDOS is loaded and the date and time should beentered. The Diagnostics Shell is then loaded.MAIN MENDThe main menu is displayed each time the SERVICEDIAGNOSTICS diskette is booted in, and each time theuser chooses to return to the main menu at thecompletion of a specific test.The main menu gives the operator the followingcategories of choices:o Run All Tests (Press )o Run All Tests Continuously (Press )o4-2Test A Specific Component (or type) (Menu items1 to 11)
