-18-StandardThis allows the phone to first search for a free channelin the Home system. If the phone cannot find a freechannel, it searches the other system.The ROAM indicator is displayed when the phone is using asystem other than your home system. The roam systemsyour phone accesses can be specified through the use ofsystem identification management, referred to as SIDmanagement. SID Management is described below.SID MANAGEMENTThe SID Management feature lets the phone operate onlywithin specifically identified (Preferred) systems. The serviceprovider can enter up to thirty (30) preferred System IDnumbers that identify the systems that you want your phoneto access.Programming of your System ID numbers is accomplishedby your service provider and is only associated with NAM1.DTMF TONEThe DTMF Tone generator has two settings, Standard andLong. If the DTMF Tone generator is set to Standard, thephone sends each DTMF signaling tone for 100 milli-seconds.
