8-18 TroubleshootingProblems with NEC EXPRESSBUILDERWhen the server is not booted from the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM, check the following:T Did you set the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER during POST and restart the server?→ If you do not set the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER during POST and restart theserver, an error message will appear or the OS will boot.T Is BIOS configuration correct?→ The boot device order may be specified with the BIOS SETUP utility of the server.Use the BIOS Setup utility to change the boot device order to boot the systemfrom the CD-ROM drive first.T Is an error message appeared?→ When an error occurs while the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is in progress, thefollowing message appears. After this message appears, check the error and takethe appropriate corrective action according to the message listed in the tablebelow.Message Cause and RemedyThis machine is not supported. This NEC EXPRESSBUILDER version is notdesigned for this server. Execute the NECEXPRESSBUILDER on the compliant server.Hard disk access error The hard disk drive is not connected or it isfailed.Check whether the hard disk drive is correctlyconnected.NvRAM access error An access to the nonvolatile memory(NvRAM) is not acceptable.The system-specific informationdoes not exist on the baseboard.Please restore the backup dataor write the data by using[System InformationManagement] of the Off-lineMaintenance Utility.
