Creating a short messageTo create a short message, use the following procedure.☛ With the standby screen displayed, press 3, 1 and 4. The message entry screen will bedisplayed.☛ Enter your message using the procedure detailed from page 33 to page 34.☛ If you press at any time during message creation, the Edit menu will be displayed.Press the relevant key(s) according to the table right.T9: T9 text entryABC: Normal text entry123: Numeric entryInsert object: Inserts object entryOptions: Opens the options menu.Option menu functionsText colour: Selects the colour of text and background.Use the ▲ and ▼ keys to select the colour and press Softkey 1. A ✔will be displayed on the appropriate icon.Text format: Selects the font size (Normal, Large or Small) and font style (Bold, Italics,Underline or Strikethrough). Use the and keys to select the font size. Usethe ▲ and ▼ keys to highlight the font style and press Softkey 1.Text alignment: Sets the text alignment (Left, Centred or Right). Use the ▲ and ▼ keys tohighlight the text alignment and press Softkey 1.Highlight mode: Sets the highlight mode. Places the cursor at the beginning or the end of thetext and use the and keys to highlight the text. Press Softkey 1 in thehighlight mode to toggle between On and Off.Press CLR to back to the normal mode.Edit settings: Sets the write mode (Insert or Overwrite) and Clear mode (Backspace or Delete).Use the ▲ and ▼ keys to highlight the mode and press Softkey 1.Paste: Pastes the text which is copied into memory.
