If you continue to use the lamp after the lamp has reached the end of its usable life, the lamp bulb mayshatter, and pieces of glass may be scattered in the lamp case. Do not touch them as the pieces of glass may causeinjury.If this happens, contact your dealer for lamp replacement.A Lamp CharacteristicThe projector has a high-pressure mercury lamp as a light source.A lamp has a characteristic that its brightness gradually decreases with age. Also repeatedly turning the lamp onand off will increase the possibility of its lower brightness.CAUTION:• DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP immediately after it has been used. It will be extremely hot. Turn the projector offand then disconnect the power cord. Allow at least one hour for the lamp to cool before handling.• When removing the lamp from a ceiling-mounted projector, make sure that no one is under the projector. Glassfragments could fall if the lamp has been burned out.Clearance for Installing the ProjectorAllow ample clearance between the projector and its surroundings as shown below.Avoid installing the projector in a place where air movement from the HVAC is directed at the projector.Heated air from the HVAC can be taken in by the projector's intake vent.
