User Guide82www.nec-computers.comPower SupplyDepending on your configuration, your system features either:■ a hot-swappable power supply with redundancy features, or■ a fixed power supply.Connecting the Power Cord(s)Plug the female end of the AC power cord(s) shipped with your system into the inputreceptacle(s) on the rear of your system power supply.Plug the male end of the power cord(s) into NEMA 5-15R outlet(s) for 100-120 VACor NEMA 6-15R outlet(s) for 200-240 VAC.If a power cord supplied with the system is not compatible with the AC wall outlet inyour region, obtain a suitable power cord that meets the following criteria:■ The power cord must be rated for the available AC voltage and have a currentrating that is at least 125% of the current rating of the system.■ The power cord connector that plugs into the wall outlet must be terminated in agrounding-type male plug designed for use in your region. It must havecertification marks showing certification by an agency acceptable in your region.■ The power cord connector that plugs into the system must be an IEC- type CEE-22female connector.■ The power cord must be less than 1.8 meters (6.0 feet) long.When connecting the power cord(s) to a power control unit such as a UPS unit, confirmthat the power control unit is powered OFF. Connecting the power cord(s) while poweris supplied to the power control unit may cause a failure.WARNINGDo not attempt to modify or use the supplied AC power cord if itis not the exact type required.!
