Voice Mail OverflowDescriptionThe telephone system can automatically reroute unanswered outside calls to the InMail AutomatedAttendant. Voice Mail Overflow ensures that InMail picks up calls that do not go through. This allowscallers to leave a message rather than having to call back later. Voice Mail can be the overflowdestination for the following types of calls:• Direct Inward Line (DIL) OverflowA trunk that directly rings an extension can overflow to that extension's mailbox if not answered.• Incoming Ring GroupsA trunk ringing an extension's line keys can overflow to the InMail Automated Attendant.• Department Calling GroupsA call to a Department Group master (pilot) number can overflow to InMail if unanswered. Theoverflow destination is the Group Mailbox assigned to the Department Group. The Group Mailboxcan be a:- Call Routing MailboxThis gives the Department Group caller additional dialing options if their call is unanswered.- Announcement MailboxThis plays a prerecorded announcement to the Department Group caller if their call isunanswered. The Announcement Mailbox can then hang up or provide additional dialing options.- Subscriber MailboxThe Department Group caller can leave a message in the group master mailbox.
